Iphone So You Can Print Wirelessly!

You want to set up your iPhone printer, but you can’t find its settings. We’ll show you how to print your first document in just a few minutes.

Set Up An Iphone Printer

The AirPrint standard is the easiest way to set up a printer on an iPhone. The printer will then be automatically found by your iPhone. You can also share regular USB printers with an app so that they can be used as AirPrint printers. We’ll show you two ways to do it.

Set Up An Iphone Printer With Airprint

To set up an iPhone printer, you don’t have to do any work ahead of time. If you have an AirPrint printer, it will show up on its own when you choose a printer. So let’s print a test page to see if we can choose the printer.

  • Open a page or document to test.
  • Tap the “Share” button and move down until you see “Print.” just click on it.
  • At the top, where it says “Printer,” it says “No printer selected.”
  • Tap it and wait a moment while the iPhone looks for nearby printers that can use AirPrint.
  • When your printer shows up in the list, click on it.
  • You can now choose whether you want to print in “Black and White” or “Color” under “Preferences.”
  • When everything is set up so far, you can start a test print by clicking “Print.”

If you don’t already have an AirPrint printer but would like to enjoy the convenience of wireless printing, here are the best-selling AirPrint printers:

Set Up An Iphone Printer Via USB

You can still set up your iPhone as a printer even if you don’t have an AirPrint printer. Then, you connect the printer to your Windows computer or Mac via USB, and your iPhone can use it wirelessly.

Mac: Get the HandyPrint app from the App Store and put it on your Mac. After the installation is done, you can use your USB printers as AirPrint printers on your iPhone.

Windows: Get the “Netgear Genie” app and install it. After installation, you can choose if your connected printer should be available as an AirPrint printer. Also, even though the app is made by Netgear, it works with routers made by other companies as well.

View And Cancel Print Jobs

During A Print Job: you can look at your print jobs on your iPhone and even cancel them. We do this with the “app switcher.”

View print job: To switch apps while printing, swipe up halfway from the bottom of the screen. There, you’ll find the “Print Center” app, which shows you all of the jobs you have waiting to be printed. You can move these to the front by clicking on them.

Cancel A Print Job: Once you’ve brought up the “Print Center,” you can click on the current print job and click “Cancel printing” to stop it.

The Essentials In Brief

You can print from your iPhone without having to set up a printer for your iPhone. Using an AirPrint printer is the easiest way to do this.

If your printer doesn’t support AirPrint, you can download the “HandyPrint” (Mac) or “Netgear Genie” (Windows) app to your computer and turn a USB printer into an AirPrint printer.

You can now use the iPhone’s share feature to start a print job and stop it if you make a mistake.
